Catherine Setaro is receiving a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Policy and Planning with a minor in American Indian Studies. Currently she is pursuing a career in environmental advocacy and is considering to potentially continue her studies in graduate school.
Shoa Deese, of the Lumbee Nation, is receiving her Bachelor of Science in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience and her minor in American Indian Studies. Upon graduation, she plans to go home back to her family and start work for a pharmaceutical company. #Lumbee
Nathalie Groot is a Biological Sciences undergraduate with a Biomedical focus. After graduation, Groot plans on pursuing a PhD in Biomedical research and will be applying to graduate schools in the fall.
Doris Tinsley, an enrolled member of the Shinnecock Indian Nation, is receiving her Bachelor of Science in Sociology and her minor in American Indian Studies. Upon graduation, Doris will be moving to South Dakota to prepare for law school in the fall of 2021. #Shinnecock
Skyler Raye Adkins of the Chickahominy Indian Tribe will be graduating with an bachelor's in Multimedia Journalism. He plans on using his love of music and art after graduation and hopefully starting a business. “The community as a whole has meant family for me.“ #Chickahominy
Lila Shelley (Métis-Cree) will be graduating with a Bachelor’s in English. She will be going to law school in the fall at the University of Michigan and hopes to do civil legal aid or public defense work. #MetisCree
Jason Chavez (Tohono O’odham) and Heather Gerrish are ending their time at Virginia Tech and headed to beautiful Mesa, Arizona! Jason is receiving his Master’s degree in Political Science and Heather is receiving her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. #TohonoOodham
