Jong Tae-ul : People are so used to see the female leads as a weak, damsel in distress and poor thing, that they can't actually digest the fierce and strong character of Tae-ul. She's definitely not everyone's cup of tea. She has a strong personality, and it's intimidating them.

Genre : Sci-fi. People are not understanding that this drama isn't just about romance. It's a Sci-fi series. Every character is highlighted, and has it's own story to tell. The drama isn't just about main leads, and everyone is forgetting there's a thing called 'Script'.

Romance : The romance between the main characters isn't the main concept of the show. Both have their own responsibilities in their respective world. It isn't a regular drama where main leads spends every second with each other. It's the reality of the story they are portraying.

Lee Min-ho : I'm actually impressed by the character he's playing in series. Lee Gon is intelligent, caring, responsible and romantic. He may act as a child in front of Tae-ul, but he knows his place in his world. People are underestimating his character, and it's really painful.

Kim Go Eun : Korean beauty standards. I don't even want to talk about it. You've got a complete package in Go-eun, and still people are complaining about her casting? Did you watch the drama? For God's sake, the girl doesn't have to say a word, but still makes you feel emotions.

Side Characters : The drama is breaking the rules of generality. It's showing the story of other characters, wanting viewers to invest in them as well. And, trust me, deep down every viewer is enjoying the storyline, but due to the struck mentality, we're currently questioning it

Kim Eun-Sook - The writer is well known for her dramas like Descendants of the sun, Goblin, and The Heirs. People expected her to write another masterpiece just like her previous works, and she did. The only difference is that this drama's main focus is mystery, not romance.

Cast - The actors in the drama are well known faces in South Korea. The drama was already expected to be a hit, and it created an unnecessary hype. It worked against the story and genre of the drama. Viewers failed to understand that every drama needs not to be romantic.

Maturity : Lee Gon & Tae-ul are way mature couple for regular K-drama fans. The situation created is an exception. Main leads aren't in love, bt they've mutual respect & attraction towards each other. She knows her growing feelings for him, & confessed & chose to love her fate.

Lee Gon : The king. He's intelligent, and accepted the parallel world easily. He's someone person who had a tough and lonely childhood. He was taught not to trust anyone, but when he finally met someone who is related to his saviour, he felt overwhelmed. #TheKing_EternalMonarch

Orbit : Lee Gon didn't have any romantic feelings for Tae-ul in start. She's beautiful, and someone who had been there for him unknowingly, so he flirted unconsciously. He held on to her in the world he had no idea about. But, with time he liked her for being herself.

Feelings : The main leads didn't know much about each other first. But, then it happened. Tae-ul get to know him in Corea. Lee Gon saw her other side. Soft side. They had no idea it would happen. But, it did. They grew attached to each other. It's a sad love story. Fated one.

Clique : We love and hate clique equally. This drama is a breath of fresh air though. No Clique. No misunderstandings. No living in your mind. No shy & egoistic leads. Realistic relationship. Pure longing. Good storyline. #TheKing_EternalMonarch #TheKingTheEternalMonarch

Prejudice : The viewers already had judged that the couple won't have any chemistry, and some are still sticking to it, without even watching the series. Only the CURRENT viewers can tell how much our hearts are breaking for these 2 #TheKing_EternalMonarch #thekingeternalmonarch

Theory : Tagline of the show is 'The King needs to close the door between the worlds to win over demon' or something when the teaser came. I think it's after that scene. Lee Gon has closed the door, and came back in past to see Tae-ul one last time. He's wearing same clothes too

Main Leads : They were already known for their hit dramas before, so yes, I know how others felt when the cast was announced. But, I gave them chance, and they reign over my heart now. The chemistry is explosive and heart wrenching. #TheKing_EternalMonarch #TheKingEternalMonarch

Negativity : The drama is surrounded by too much articles and issues. I can't believe that Epi11 again got low rating in Korea. I think Korean audience is not up for something new. It's a pity. Also, people are watching netflix more. #thekingeternalmonarch #TheKing_EternalMonarch
