To all my non-black followers, here are some questions circulating that I hope you all think about (not just when another black person is murdered but) consistently in your efforts towards solidarity:
Are standing up against racism in all its forms? From Intra-personal to societal? Not just police brutality but including gentrification, homelessness, medical racism & more?
Why are you sharing videos of Black folks being brutalized and murdered? What is the purpose? Have you thought abt how this will affect the Black folks interacting in your space?
Have you done research into organizations or programs that are giving direct aid to affected families or communities?
Is your outrage against racism fueled by only viewing the violent acts of racism?
Have you looked at the victim’s families to see what their ask for justice is? Have you looked at what the affected communities is asking during this time?
Have you considered ways of standing up against violence of white supremacy that doesn’t involve further traumatizing the Black folks you are around?
Have you reached out to local Black organizers/organizations in your communities to see what you can do or how to help?
So do you care as much about Black life as you do Black death?
Dont let your blackness let you think you’re excused from engaging in these questions as well! We all can perpetuate this trauma & system so do what you can to dismantle it in your life, spaces & communities.

two things I wanna add to this discourse:

- don’t give me answers to questions y’all need to ponder. these are questions for your non-black & white comrades & circles not shoving back at black folks as an “answer” to shut us up.

-NO ALLIES. COMRADES or ACCOMPLICES.
