Why I love Sinan and Isik from Love 101? And, why you should definitely give chance to this Netflix original? A thread.

The series doesn't romanticize depression. Isik already had a crush on Sinan, and she showed him care. He didn't magically started feeling good or happy. He took his time. Isik wasn't his cure, but the first step towards the betterment.
Isik never forced Sinan to be with her. She never really made efforts to make him realize her feelings, instead, she focused on his mental health. The way she kept engaging him in her conversations, and made him realize that he had a group of friends who cared for him was cute.
Isik was someone who believed in fairytale, but Sinan was a practical guy. Still, he never insulted her or teased her for this out loud. He listened to her even when he believed totally opposite. He respected her as a person. He was honest. Even apologised to her when needed.
He knew very well that Isik wasn't trusting him enough to believe his feelings for her. He didn't let this get in his way though. He took his time, and approached her in other way. No misunderstandings or ego. Just pure feelings and realistic relationship.
This moment was special. Sinan knew he had someone now. The way Isik said she wanted to reunite with all of them after years, and they were best part of her life. That soft gaze. That little smile. He knew he mattered. He mattered to someone.
And, that someone was Isik.
And, that someone was Isik.
There was an innocence in their relationship. First kiss, and then cute smiles. Occasional lunch, and stolen glances. It gave me a real feel like it was what it feels like to be in love. It was developed step by step. The chemistry between the main characters is fabulous.
Sinan made notes for her. He never cared for himself, but now he knew that someone out there cared for him. He made notes so that he could see Isik in her home, but I feel like he did it for himself as well. He was looking forward to his future.
With Isik.
With Isik.
Isik and Sinan gives you that butterfly kind of relationship. Innocent. Madness. Sadness. She fought with others for him. He fought his depression, with himself to be with her. That's what love should be. It must make you feel like you want to wake up tomorrow and be happy.
