For the record—I wrote a whole artist statement explaining it and also spent 4 hours explaining it while trying to hear why I got a bad grade.

The explanation was “I’m a tough marker and I didn’t like it”.

I love that I stuck my neck out for someone who pretended to care because I looked like a means to an end. I really love it. (Jk every day my heart shrinks a little).

But also—the semester was disrupted for me long before. I got the assignment instructions from my car outside the building, as I couldn’t get in that day because it wasn’t accessibly by wheelchair.

I sat outside the building for the entire 4 hours of the class, trying/hoping to get in

And then I sat there after the class, getting the secondhand instructions

Where I didn’t have the benefit of discussing with my peers or hearing their questions/answers

I did everything I was supposed to anyway, but you know.... you would think that might also be considered

But of course, I need to be understanding when I can’t get into the building and things aren’t accessible.

I’m the only one who needs to be understanding.
