my new fic idea: college au ygo protagonists that live on the same floor of the campus dorms and therefore share a common area. some of them are grad students and some are undergrad. the keurig that juudai paid for keeps breaking and yuusei has to keep fixing it

yuu4 all share a dorm together meanwhile yuusaku is the only one with the single on the entire floor. yugi/atem + juudai + yuusei are grad students. yuuri is on an accelerated master& #39;s program. yuuma and yuuga are freshmen and have no idea what theyre in for

also... yuuya and yuuto used to sleep in the same room and yuuri+yuugo in the other but to prevent the two from possibly breaking the entire dorm (again) they agreed to switch rooms so now yuuya and yuuri share a room while yuugo and yuuto share the other one

yuuma asks juudai what his field of study is bc juudai doesnt seem to be that busy most of the time and juudai is like "i wish i knew too"

yuusei+yuugo are both mechanical engineers. yuusaku is a compsci major. yuuga is electrical engineering. they have study groups together sometimes. yuusaku wonders why he& #39;s included he& #39;s not even an engineer

also yuusei TAs for one of yuugo& #39;s classes

yuugi+atem study historical archaeology, juudai is ????, and yuuma is undeclared. yuuya is a musical theatre major, yuuto is in nursing, and yuuri is a business and bio double major

yuu4 are all in the theatre club in some way bc of yuuya. yuuto does set, yuugo is tech, and yuuri is costumes. how yuuri has time for anything between his two majors is honestly a mystery but yknow. it& #39;s yuuri

also yuuri is the type of person to go into law school afterward

yuugi and atem are rarely in the dorm thanks to their field studies but when they DO come back, juudai has to hide his keurig bc everything electrical that atem touches breaks instantly

yuusei is always on standby during. however it& #39;s been easier w the addition of yuugo+yuuga

room assignments are: yuugi+atem, juudai+yuusei, yuuma+yuuga, yuusaku by himself, then yuu4 all together (they have one of the bigger rooms that has its own common area but it doesnt have a kitchen)

actually just take this really crudely drawn picture

of everyone on the floor of this dorm, yuusei+yuugo have motorcycles, yuuma has a scooter, and juudai is the only person with an actual car. everyone else relies on them for groceries and getting places

yuugo& #39;s motorcycle is actually illegal bc he built it (with rin) freshman year and never registered it so every time he takes a joyride he is VERY likely to be pulled over (and has been, many times,)

this has only been made slightly better by yuuto who stole someone& #39;s license plate (long story) so yuugo can use it and not get pulled over

yuuma is the one who uses the common area the most bc he likes to play games. yuuya joins him a lot. they coerce yuusaku into it as well

johan lives on another floor (w jim+austin) but he ends up sleeping on the couch a lot on this floor w juudai bc they share a study and do work together sometimes. no one knows what it is still. johan says it& #39;s marine biology. juudai shrugs

house rules:
- yuu4 are not allowed to be in the same group during game nights
- neither are yuugi+atem
- atem and yuuma are banned from the kitchen
- yuuga cannot be in the common area by himself lest he dismantle the tv (again)
- DO NOT touch yuuri& #39;s plants unless u want to die

- no one talks to juudai until after his 2nd cup of coffee
- silent truce that no one bothers yuusei unless absolutely necessary
- yuusaku is only amicable after midnight
- all food in the fridge is free-for-all unless labeled otherwise. no label = tough luck

- however the yogurts in the fridge are all yuuri& #39;s. he does not label them. but no one dares to touch them unless they wish certain death

yuusei keeps getting packs of cup ramen for free from someone (jack) and he keeps trying to pawn them off on the others bc he cant finish them. cup ramen is a staple food on this floor

there are NO GUESTS ALLOWED unless it& #39;s the weekend. there was an incident where shark and jack got into a fight in the common area and destroyed the couch. exceptions to this are: johan, crow, rin, and kusanagi

- yuugi+atem are 27
- juudai+yuusei 25
- yuu4 20
- yuusaku 19
- yuuma 18
- yuuga 17

OKAY ONE MORE ACTUALLY
- yuuma, juudai, and takeru get together to watch hero shows (like tokusatsu or kamen rider)
- yuugo will not sleep or eat during finals week unless someone (usually rin) reminds him
- yuuma-yuuya-yuusaku usually end up doing groceries together fsr

adding to this uni au thread with yuu4 shenanigans i wrote
don’t know where i was going with this so honestly just take it

so yeah, yuu4 don& #39;t actually join the dorm until their 2nd year in uni, and they only do it bc yuugo, who was supposed to sign them up for a 4-man room in another place, accidentally forgot between finals and the only 4-man left when they finally got to it was protag dorm

in uni au the av cast are split into like segmented friend groups divided along the dimensions, so yuuri-serena-sora-dennis are one group. fun fact serena gets a lot of model offers and beauty coupons to which she gives to yuuri bc he actually uses them unlike her

yuuri gets stuck in a double with sora freshman year which he laments abt bc he wanted to room w yuuya, but yuuya is actually rooming w gongenzaka, and yuuto is w shun. yuugo is the only one out of them who got a single, so yuu4 all hang out in his dorm room

johan is the EPITOME of "rich and dressed to impressed international student" meanwhile juudai wears like a turtleneck and jeans most of the time. also johan uses mostly apple products

yuusei coaches the robotics club which is what both yuugo and yuuga are part of. they harass yuusaku to do programming for the & #39;bot for them sometimes. he only does it after being bribed with like 10 chili dogs and a cup of juudai& #39;s famous brewed coffee
