The ever interesting names of some of Salt Lake City's oldest apartments.

A thread.
The Eleanor Rigby - located on 125 S, 300 E in downtown. This apartment was built in 1929. It was in the news back in February when a gunman killed a woman and injured a police officer.
The Jude (Hey - this is kinda turning into a Beetles collection) - located 145 S, 300 E. This building was built in 1911.
The Peter Pan Apartments - located at 445 E, 300 S
Park Manor - located at 841 S and 500 E.
Chateau Normandie - located at 100 S, 400 E
Armista Apartments - located at 100 S, 500 E. This was built in 1927.
Bell Wines Apartments - located at 530 E, 100 S. This was built in 1927.
The Pauline Apartments - located at 270 E, 100 S. Built in 1904.
The Pauline Downs Apartments - located at 300 E, 120 S
The Ivanhoe Apartments - located at 417 E, 300 S. Built in 1908.
Smith Apartments - located at 300 E, 228 S. Better know for the apartment that Harry and Lloyd lived in Dumb and Dumber.
The Eastcliff & Westcliff Apartments
The Belvedere - located 29 S, State Street. Built in 1919 as a hotel & apartment building - this was the first all-electric building in Salt Lake City and the first build ever with an elevator.
The Mayflower - located 1283 E, South Temple Street. Built in 1929, this large apartment sits at the very north-end of 1300 E, just west of the University of Utah campus.
The Davenport - located at 20 S, 1300 E. Like the Mayflower, these apartments are located just west of the University. They were recently renovated into lofts.
The New Broadmoor - located at 930 E 300 S.
Barbara Worth Apartments - located at 326 E South Temple. These apartments are right across the street from the Cathedral of the Madeleine.
Covey Apartments - located at 239 E, South Temple. Right on South Temple, these apartments are just a few blocks from the heart of downtown Salt Lake City.
The Hillcrest - located at 189 E. 1st Ave. This sprawling complex sits at the entrance of the Avenues, and offers sweeping views of downtown & the Salt Lake Valley.
Castle Heights - located at 141 E 1st Ave. Just down the street from Hillcrest, this apartment resembles, if you squint real hard, a castle!
The Maryland - located at 839 East South Temple. Built in 1927.
The Embassy Apartments - located at 130 S 300 E. Not the coolest looking apartment but I love its sign.
Piccadilly Apartments - located at 24 S 500 E. Piccadilly. Likely named after the famous street in London, this apartment has a style befitting of its name.
The Knickerbocker - located at 1280 East South Temple. Built in 1914, this unremarkable apartment changed its name in the mid-20th Century to the Kanzeon - but it's now back to its original name.
La France Apartments - located at 246 W 300 S. These apartments were built in SLC's old Greektown. They're located just behind the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Unfortunately, they're slated for demolition for a future development.
