Saw this yesterday, so sure, why not? A 30 Day Song Challenge.
Starting off, a song I like with a color in the title: "Red Rubber Ball" by the (let's be honest, stupidly named) Cyrkle.
Day 2: A song you like with a number in the title: "1234" by Feist
Day 3: A song that reminds you of summertime
"Summer in the City" by the Lovin' Spoonful
Day 4: A song that reminds you of someone you'd rather forget--"Is That All There Is" by Peggy Lee, reportedly one of the President-in-name's favorite songs.
Day 5: A song that needs to be played loud--"Dog Days Are Over" by Florence + the Machine--"Can you hear the horses? Because here they come"
Day 6: A song that makes you want to dance—“Neutron Dance” by the Pointer Sisters
Day 7: A song to drive to. Well, I mean, come on.
Day 8: A song about drugs or alcohol--"White Lines (Don't Don't Do It)" by Melle Mel
Day 9: A song that makes you happy
All I can say is, the time has come to answer that question that has baffled mankind through the ages...
Day 10: A song that makes you sad--Rebekah del Rio, "Llorando." It's an amazing cover of maybe my favorite Roy Orbison song, and used in this incredible scene from Mulholland Drive:
Day 11: A song you never get tired of
Hmm. Aren't there, by definition, either songs I never get tired of or songs I just don't like? I'm going to pick Bob Dylan's "Desolation Row," because at 12 minutes, you'd *think* I'd get tired of it, but not so far:
Oh man, I've forgotten about this thread all week. Let's get back into it with...let's see...Day 12, a song from your preteen years:
Next, day 13, a song you like from the '70s: I mean, there's a lot to choose from there, but let's go with a little Stevie Wonder (not to be confused with Little Stevie Wonder):
Day 14, a song you'd love to be played at your wedding:
Day 15, a song you like that's a cover by another artist: that would be the best Coldplay song, this cover by Aimee Man:
Day 16, a song that's a classic favorite: what does that even mean? Classical music? I dunno, "Spring from Vivaldi's Four Seasons?
Day 17 (actually today!), a song you'd sing a duet with someone on karaoke: would you believe I have never ever done karaoke? Would "What's Up" by 4 Non Blondes work?
So I completely forgot about this thread AGAIN. While I didn't hear anybody complaining, let's get back into it with Day 18: A song from the year you were born--
Day 19: A song that makes you think about life--
Day 20: A song that has many meanings to you--
Day 21: A song you like with a person's name in the title--
