Hey scientist friends! Let’s fill folks’ feeds with neat science facts! What’s your go-to fact from your discipline to get people to say “wow” and want to learn more?

My example: did you know Greenland sharks, which can live over 400 years, eat polar bears and reindeer?
I don’t know why people who are not scientists (or other experienced experts) are taking this prompt as an invitation to share obviously wrong information, but it’d be super great if you didn’t. This situation requires no input from you. Thanks!
If a piece of information is not true, that’s not a fact. If you’re not sure if it’s true, don’t say it.

Sharing wrong information, or information if you’re not sure whether it’s true, is hurting the world. Please stop hurting the world.

Learn from experts.

Thanks!
And friends who are experts? Most of you are doing an AWESOME job sharing super interesting facts explained clearly- thanks!

For some of you, I don't know what the heck you're talking about, and I have a Ph.D. Perhaps you need to refine your public science outreach a smidge?
