Sagittarius is really such a misunderstood sign because everyone thinks of them as people who are noncommittal, freaky, selfish bastards who just happen to be funny. Let me clear up a lot of the misconceptions about Sagittarius for you.

While there is an air of optimism associated with Sagittarius, what do you expect from a sign that is ruled by Jupiter. Jupiter is feeling lucky (like on google ) so why wouldn’t they feel optimistic. I tend to notice because of this luck association that Jupiter

tends to make them feel relieved and a loss of tension or restriction because they know that the future will work out in their favor. Thats why Sagittarius is often associated with a sort of freedom, its freedom from failure is why they can trudge

another foot forward without worrying about what lies ahead. Sagittarius ruled Jupiter who is about growth and expansion, but if we think of it in terms of the relationship it has with its opposite planet, Mercury: Jupiter has a lot to do with themes of information.

Information tends to be very little with mercury, such as grammar, words themselves, certain topics, and things that are a little more concrete in reality (in this sense reality is structure), where as Jupiterian information tends to be big and large.

Jupiter is the biggest planet in the Solar system after all, while Mercury is the smallest planet in the Solar System. Jupiter information tends to be schools of thought where there is debate and a lot of different perspectives.

I love to use the analogy of a camera zooming in with Mercury, and then Jupiter panning out and having a great field of view. Jupiterian information tends to be a little more complex and less overt as a result, because there is so much perspective on the issue.

Jupiterian information is movements (Romanticism, the Enlightenment, etc) and schools of thought, as well as philosophies and belief systems (Absurdism and Astrology). There is much more complexity and different opposing opinions within those overarching topics.

Jupiter tends to be the archetype where as Mercury is the literal incarnation of that nuanced archetype. If we think of this in terms of Sagittarian energy, Sagittarius are optimist because they have some sort of depth of perspective allowing them to see that

one small fuck up isn’t going to set them back. This is why Sagittarius can seem like they dont give a fuck about what they do or who they come into contact with, but its because they know that there are more important things to worry about than small mistakes.

Small things never interest a Sagittarius. Its all about making it BIG, flashy, and stimulating. We have to remember that Sagittarius is Mutable Fire. Mutable Fire is fire that is scattered so thin, rather than having a center of concentration.

Sagittarius needs to be able to have that constant stimulation in order to fan their flames and have them be stronger. Sagittarius to tend to feel a little more "airy” in nature because of this scattered thinness. So if you’re boring, don’t even try to be around a Sag.

They are all about having a good time with the other person. They are really reliant on other people’s vibe, because it provides that stimulation (fan to the flames) to keep their spirits up and to be the bright cheery person they are.

Unfortunately this can mean that their sense of worth and optimism can stem from the energy of others, and in a sense can kind of be emotionally invasive, because what some feels is not your responsibility. And I think thats a major lesson for you.

You can’t base your mood off of others, because it will most likely put out the flames you have, especially if its a really negative mood. You can still feel happy and optimistic even though someone is just having a shitty day. Their emotions and energy level are not yours

Sagittarius can have this codependency issue for that reason, but I think its unfair to say all Sagittarius are co-dependent, but I definitely see this theme of always acting off of others, rather than acting on your own accord.

Something that is so Sagittarian is the idea of Thanksgiving. Aside from the origins of Thanksgiving, the idea of getting together and having a HUGE FEAST with your family— this doesnt get any more SAGITTARIAN. Its literally bonding with people you like over something BIG.

One thing thats interesting is that Jupiter Joys in the 11th house, the house of good spirit, the house of friends, the house of likeminded people, organizations, community, and outer network, because it says a lot about what Jupiter represents.

Jupiter has a BIG desire to network and connect to a bunch of different people. Thats why everyone seems to know a Sagittarian, or you’ll be with them and they see someone else they know: they literally take the time to understand everyone and learn about them.

They are SUCH intelligent people because they have the ability to see the world from so many different perspective by genuinely being interested in connecting with each person. If you need someone to connect you to other people: ask a Sag. They know the PERFECT person.

Theres a huge level of depth associated with Sagittarius and thats why they make GREAT people to go to their emotions with: its because of their genuine curiosity to connect and understand, and provide perspective on the situation.

The perspective may not always be what you want to hear or what suits your ego, but Sag doesnt care about your ego and what you want: they’re going to give you the advice you need. Mercury in Sag can show people VERY cutthroat because the sharp tongue meets honesty and perspectiv

It can often make Sags as people that get the reputation for being BRUTALLY honest, and this is one of the only stereotypes I actually agree with for once. However, there isn’t a malicious intent associated with this honesty.

Its wanting to show you the truth and that there is more purpose and meaning to what you’re feeling right now in the grand scheme of things. Sagittarius/Jupiter show you reality in a very bright light and make it a lot lighter and lifts weight off your shoulders

In a sense, both Saturn and Jupiter deal with the themes of reality, since there are really interconnected as being opposites in terms of Malefic and Benefic planets, and Saturn’s reality is ugly and depressing, while Jupiter’s is bright and cheery.

It often reminds me of this meme relevant to Jupiter and Saturn. Saturn is #1 while Jupiter is #2. And while I do think Sagittarius are naturally in a good mood at all times. This may just be the exterior.

Think about where Jupiter is exalted….. any guesses. ITS CANCER. FUCKING CANCER. SAGITTARIUS ARE JUST FIRE BABIES. They feel emotions with a level of depth and intensity that is unmatched to anyone else, because its Jupiter and it loves to be big maybe about the wrong things,

but they also have really good perspective on their emotions and how to simultaneous navigate them while seeing the bigger picture of the issue of their emotion. Sagittarius for that reason can really experience such intense emotions on their own that overwhelm them.

If you have too much of a good thing it becomes too much and suffocates you. Sagittarius can experience heartbreak, for example, in a much more painful way because Jupiter is giving TOO much of the pain of heartbreak. I often tend to see that there is such sadness

in a Sag’s eyes when they’re emotional distraught. Its so disheartening to see someone who’s always happy be painful. They help others get in a good mood, but who’s there to help them be in a good mood. You dont get to see a Sag’s emotions and their true self unless

their ballon of tolerance for putting up a front eventually cannot hold any more air, becomes thinner and thinner, and then…. they POP! The ideas of balloons are also very Jupiterian. Once a Sag makes themselves vulnerable to you: you should officially call them your friend.

I think its funny we have Jupiter in Capricorn, because we’ve seen how the media has turned from a FIELD day in Jupiter Sag to EXTREMELY MORBID and depressing with Jupiter in Capricorn this year. Saturn is a son of a bitch isnt he. Its all for a purpose tho

So Sagittarius, you are extremely intelligent and have so much perspective and knowledge in your life. You guys are all philosophers, and Sag placements should study philosophy. But you guys also have HUGE HEARTS, and feel HUGE emotions, will still putting a smile on your face

Some of you guys need to realize that you are the reason a lot of people have a smile on their face, and you inspire them to want to be happy, and to be productive with their life and follow the question for success. Thats one of the themes with Jupiter/Sag too.

fame, connections, money, and knowing the right people (building a network). So their quest for success is because they have a desire to rise up to the 10th house themes of fame and recognition. These are generally placements that want to be famous or go viral

This is a common theme within the Pluto Sag generation, where we started the idea of things going viral and everyone knowing about it, having an idea of it (a bunch of different opinions and perspectives), and sharing it with each other. Its so Sagittarian.

Fire signs naturally want to be seen, and its because they have a network, their information gets around and if somethings going on with a Sag, everyone will know their business. Sometime this is good, sometimes bad, but usually its a result of Sag not keep their mouth shut.

However, this can be useful if they are distraught. A common analogy for this theme of going viral or information spreading really far and wide (jupiter, as opposed to mercury which is traveling fast and quickly) is a wildfire, which tends to be what Mutable Fire is.
