Update (in thread form) on that long-awaited liquor order for @pocketmouse and anyone else who wanted to know how ordering booze online went.

Long story short: overall, I don't recommend @ReserveBar for online alcohol orders considering my experience with them with this order.
I placed the order on 4/15 and heard nothing else until 4/25, when I got an alert that it had been processed and would ship soon.

Don't get me wrong, I understand there being delays to the pandemic, but they very intentionally didn't give any details about expected timing.
I got no more updates, but I checked the website daily, and the next update was 4/29 when it apparently actually shipped out. They never provided me with a UPS tracking number or a notification that it had actually shipped. I had to go to their site to look for information.
I got the alert from UPS last night that the package would be arriving today, which usually happens between 6-7pm. At 4pm today, I got an alert from ReserveBar that one of the bottles I'd ordered was out of stock, so they'd be refunding it since it couldn't be shipped.
Please note that this e-mail was three weeks after the order was placed, a week-and-a-half after I got the shipping confirmation, a week after the order actually shipped, and just a few hours before the package arrived at my door.

The timing seems very intentional on their part.
So, yes, overall? If you're going to try to order alcohol online, avoid @ReserveBar. They don't communicate with their customers, and their practices come across as very sketchy considering the timing of them notifying me that my order didn't ship.
Especially since the out-of-stock item that wasn't shipped to me (and I wasn't notified about not shipping until just a few hours before my package was delivered) is still listed as being in-stock and for sale on their website at this very moment.
