Let's talk about multifandom Twitter and ARMY Twitter. Disclaimer: this is a thread & taking tweets out of context to get upset and pull the victim card will result in getting on my blocklist. The entire thread is the point, not singled out tweets.
I will touch on a multitude of points, so again, retweeting single tweets is pointless, because no one statement will stand without the acknowledgement of all other statements. Retweet the thread & add your counterpoints or just move on.
People often ask why ARMY shooters hit multi accounts so harshly and here's the answer: within the subculture of multifandom stans, a specific subset of people claim the A.R.M.Y. title while showcasing problematic behaviours.
Truth is, most ARMY shooters are multifandom - personally, I'm a proud queer Harling and a salty Blackjack. So let's end the myth that the problem is claiming multiple fandoms, because it simply and obviously isn't.
Issues arise when claiming multiple fandoms is accompanied by certain attitudes and behaviour patterns.
1. Lack of self-awareness

Certain fandoms and companies have a history of abusive behaviour, manipulation and spreading lies. Of course, you're not guilty by association, nonetheless awareness of past and present problematic acts should exist.
Defensiveness against valid accusations will always come off dismissive of the abuse that ARMY & BTS have to endure. You're free to stan anybody from any company, but within ARMY spaces, you have to be self-aware of our history & behave accordingly.
Denying ARMY the right to vent our frustration on our own stan accounts, and policing our speech because it doesn't align with your own perceptions communicates that your priority isn't BTS nor ARMY. It is no wonder then that within ARMY Twitter, your presence becomes annoying.
Imagine bugging a friend to make up with your sibling who bullied them for years - I think we can all agree that people who've been hurt have a right to decide whether they want to associate with their tormentors or not.
2. Shallow interest

ARMY shooters will ride with BTS until the end. Our link with them is stronger than just "they have some bops" or "they look hot". Most shooters have deep interest in the sociocultural impact that BTS is leaving behind. To us, they are living legends.
So naturally, the ARMY title carries a special meaning, too. It's the verbal manifestation of everything we mean to BTS and everything BTS means to us. The way "purple you" is a unique expression of a specific kind of love, ARMY represents a specific part of us we cherish.
Such a bond is rare and precious, so seeing its physical embodiment used in vain can be frustrating. Anybody can claim the name ARMY and the 7, but being an ARMY is a combination of feelings, thoughts and actions that unify the fandom.
One example of this unity is the absolute interest in BTS' discography from pre-debut till today. We stream because we genuinely enjoy their entire discography and have built an emotional or intellectual connection to each track.
Again, everybody is free to like or dislike BTS' works, but any statement that starts with "I liked their old songs..." or "I enjoy a few of their songs" isn't being an ARMY, it's just being a fan of some of their work.
More often than not, these "song fans" will criticize or judge ARMY for musically prioritizing BTS - on our BTS stan accounts we use to communicate with ARMY and BTS...

In a way, we tie back to self-awareness.
If somebody has a weight loss blog and you're criticizing them for only writing about weight loss and never about the difficulties of weight gain, the blogger isn't the wrong party.
3. Apologetic submissiveness

I firmly believe that the submissive apologizing for "some ARMY" is a uniquely ARMYmulti behaviour because it doesn't seem as prevalent in other fandoms.
There are multiple problems, but the biggest is usually that the apologizing usually occurs under tweets without receipts which in the era of clout chasing should be a red flag.

Apologize to people you know, not to random accounts whom you can't even confirm to be trusted.
Submission to other fandoms, due to our rocky history with them, is also an annoyance because it leads to tone policing. And again, ARMY Twitter has every right to vent on their own accounts, you don't get to tell them to be nicer because you have other fandoms, too.
4. Throwing BTS under the bus

The most malicious activity by multis is the tendency to declare BTS the same as everybody else when criticism arises. "They aren't better" isn't an ARMY statement, period. ARMY, by default, means that you see how special BTS is.
Stating the opposite is contrary to everything that ARMY stands for. Claiming the 7 or the ARMY label while holding this view is lacking self-awareness and being shallow at the same time. Obviously, this won't appeal to ARMY Twitter for understandable reasons.
The multifandom folks who partake in these behaviours usually associate with communities where shit talking about BTS & ARMY is the norm, so they internalize the notion that ARMY are the bad guys & we're supposed to sit down.
There's no animosity toward people who appreciate other artists beyond BTS, but if you're claiming to be part of the fandom, you are expected to think, feel and act like an ARMY because fandom unity stems from the joint & same appreciation.
If you can't align with what ARMY stands for, that's fine, too, just don't claim the fandom then. You can like BTS or their songs or some of their works or the members' looks, etc even without claiming to be an ARMY.
ARMY spaces will never prioritize anybody else beyond BTS & coming to these spaces with a lecture on why your other groups deserve spotlight, too, or why ARMY are the bad guys is simply weird and annoying & won't ever be accepted.
So be self-aware, don't be shallow and don't belittle BTS to make your other faves look better or equal ON ARMY TWITTER. That's the key word here: on ARMY Twitter, ARMY will write odes to BTS and BTS only. It's normal & you expecting else is weird.
