It's simple, really. The claims of "gender abolition" is nothing more than a radical chic which obfuscates the reality of their politics.

For GC "gender abolition" does not mean the abolition of the gender division but instead means strengthening the myth which naturalises the social division between men and women. They seek to maintain the division and call it "natural"

The actual abolition of gender means that the social, economic, political etc distinction between men and women is no different to the distinction between those who can and can't roll their tongue, that is society would not be organised along these lines.

GC ofc does not advocate this. They clearly want society to be organised along these lines. They instead advocate a more stringent policing of the ambiguities at the boundaries with appeals to nature.
This can never constitute a liberatory politics.
