THREAD: PSL 2020

Barring latecomers Multan, @lahoreqalandars are the only side so far to not have had any player with more than 40 games under his belt. They have not followed one of the fundamental rules of T20 success – building a core.
Sides with the lowest batting run rates in 2018 and 2019 missed out on qualifying for the playoffs whereas bowling returns had a lesser impact on overall results. As the league has come home, restricting sides has become more important
On the surface, Karachi gives the impression of being the best batting track in the country but had the lowest average score this season - possibly due to the second half being played behind closed doors and some dead rubbers
Umer Khan's non selection raised a few eyebrows, but numbers show spinners were not a wicket taking option in Karachi while seamers had a far better economy rate than at any other ground @ProfDeano
Islamabad have had the best batting run rate for the past 3 seasons, but their bowling stocks have left a lot to be desired for. In their home games, their seamers went at 10.9 compared to the average (9.61) @Rehan_ulhaq @mediagag
@lahoreqalandars and @MultanSultans are the 2 most improved batting sides - since 2018, their scoring rates have increased by 24 and 22 percent respectively. Also had 2 of the 3 best economy rates this season, which helped them claim a spot in the semis @HaiderAzhar @aliktareen
LaStly, Multan and Lahore had far more experienced sides than the rest (in terms of no of matches played, Multan were so far ahead). Their premier bowlers Afridi, Tahir and Tanvir brought the experience of more than 900 T20 games on the table
