THREE Mental Models to Help you Plan Your Life

I love mental models. Mental models are ways of thinking about the world. You use them whether you know you do or not.

Harnessing them can help you achieve more. Here are some that can be used to help you.

1️⃣ Eisenhower Matrix

Split your tasks into four groups:

Urgent & important
Not urgent, but important
Urgent, but not important
Not urgent, nor important

Prioritise accordingly.
2️⃣ Regret Minimisation

Jeff Bezos has famously bee using this framework since making the leap to start Amazon.

If you can’t decide on whether to take the leap on an idea:
Think about yourself at age eighty → Do you think you’ll regret having not taken the leap?
3️⃣ G.R.O.W.

GROW can help you reach your goals:

Goal → Where do you want to be, what do you want to achieve?
Reality → Where are you now?
Obstacles → What is stopping you from getting to your goal?
Way Forward → How do you overcome the obstacles and reach the goal?
