1/ Here’s an example of corporations claiming that they are not accepting cash “for the health and safety of our staff” (many of whom they likely regard as obsolete) during the coronavirus crisis, when in reality, they were already actively phasing out cash. This is @GOtransit:

2/ Go Transit and Toronto’s public transportation services (TTC @TTChelps) have allowed the parasitic “electronic payment system that eliminates the need for tickets, tokens, passes, or cash”, @PRESTOcard, to stealthily take over their systems for the last several years.

3/ Those who get the card are rewarded with cheaper fares and better transfers (at the price of giving up their anonymity), while those who don’t get it get the shitty second-tier treatment.
That this is being done on essential public infrastructure is beyond corrupt.

5/ I’ve suspected for a few years that PRESTO was part of this plan to incrementally phase out cash—one store, one piece of infrastructure at a time—in its case by nailing us at a critical choke point: public transportation. I only today decided to find out who’s behind PRESTO.

6/ Sometimes, I’m surprised at how few degrees of separation there are between the dots I’m trying to connect. PRESTO is operated by Accenture, which is one of the 3 major sponsors of ID2020!

7/ The other two major sponsors are Microsoft, and GAVI the vaccine alliance, which has recieved over $1.5 billion from the Gates’ Foundation. On top of “digital identities for everyone”, #BillGates is also working on digital certificates for establishing who has been vaccinated.

8/ Accenture is also working with the World Economic Forum on a Known Traveller Digital Identity system. Digital ID and cash are at odds with one another, as cash allows you to go off-grid, and anonymous transactions are no good for helping build your data profile/spying on you!

9/In conclusion: Go Transit, working with a company that has as its business model the elimination/replacement of cash, now advances this agenda even further, doing what they already wanted to do anyway while getting to claim that they are doing their part to ‘fight covid-19’.
