/8 Read this next thread...I first learned of Omar Montoya about this time 3 years ago. Followed the case, then when I left news I lost track..only to recently re connect with it.
/8 Omar Montoya was an FBI electronics technician..who helped install Director Comey’s cameras in his Connecticut home when he was made director in 2013.
Omar was also the equal employee opportunity office representative for the New Haven office where he worked.
/8 This same FBI office pressured Omar to take their side over a dustup with an agent…whistleblower…drumroll please…agent Kurt Siuzdak. The same one the FBI would eventually settle with. Omar said he wouldn’t take their side because he had to be neutral…just doing his job
/8 Upon doing that...Omar's wife was moved from her position as a secretary in the office…She would eventually quit because of the treatment.
He was being pressured as well, so Omar contacted FBI Director James Comey and told him what was going on and of his concern.
/8 Comey is from Connecticut and knew Omar because of the security camera work. Omar never got a call…email…no contact whatsoever from the Director after expressing his concerns…BUT 3 weeks later Comey signed off on a complaint against Omar claiming he was an insider threat
/8 Omar continued to refuse to comply by taking their side against the agent…they denied promotion with no reason given. Omar had received numerous commendations. They put him on probation. Accused of a terrorist threat. Accused him of going awol twice.
/8 Omar has spent almost half million dollars in attorney fees, including all of the college fund meant for their twin sons defending himself. Omar sued and received a summary judgement entirely in his favor. The judges ruling hammered the FBI in general and New Haven Office.
/8 Run at the time by….Patricia Ferrick. She has since retired...sources say because of this…protected her basically. She is one of McCabe’s buddies. 4 others involved in office were retired out…or moved. 1 is still in the office.
