I've been challenged to do this by @theheadknight and I'm currently stuck inside and forced to depend on social media for most social interaction, so sure let's do it.
Day 1: The First Film You Remember Watching

Honestly, I have no idea. I'm going to say Star Wars: A New Hope because I can't really remember ever NOT knowing Star Wars and because my dad's obsessed so realistically he would've shown it to me very early.
Day 2: Movie I like that starts with the first letter of my name

Blindspotting - Daveed Diggs rapping, social relevancy AND it’s set in the East Bay?? Uhhh... yes!
Day 3: A movie with more than 5 words in the title

The Last Black Man in San Francisco deserved so many Oscar nominations
Day 4: A Movie with a Number In Its Title

12 Angry Men: Sidney Lumet made this movie in one room! With a box of scraps!!
Day 5: Where a Character Has a Job I Want

Honestly, I don't remember if we ever see a screenwriter in Om Shanti Om but the movie covers two generations of Bollywood. There's gotta be one somewhere in there...
Day 6: Favorite Animated Film

The Wind Rises - Miyazaki shedding his more fantastical tendencies without losing the sense of wonder he excels at to capture one’s sense of passion and the dangers that come with it 😍
Day 7 - Film I'll Never Get Tired Of

Sing Street is the best movie ever made.
Day 8 - A film where you liked the soundtrack more than the movie (I’m posting two today cause I forgot yesterday)

Dazed and Confused - Look I like the movie but there’s a reason they spent 1/6th if the budget on music rights
Day 9 - A movie everyone loves that you hate

Okay everyone doesn't love it but, like... Frozen 2 is bad
Day 10: Favorite superhero movie

Spider-Man 2 - Emotional nuance! The struggles of choosing responsibility! Great action sequences! Weird campiness! A complex villain!
Day 11: A Movie I Like From a Genre I Don't

I don't like disaster movies but Independence Day is the rare exception that works.
Day 12: A Movie I Hate from a Genre I Love

Les Miserables could've been so good! SO. GOOD.
Day 13: A Movie That Puts Me in Deep Thoughts

I was gonna say something else originally but I watched Arrival for the first time yesterday and JESUS CHRIST that movie
Day 14: A movie that gave me depression

Hey do you ever think about how we’ve invented world killing weapons and the systems that protect us from the annihilation they bring are at the fallible hands of both humans and machine?

Fail Safe sure does...
Day 15: A movie that makes me happy

Just for pure, unbridled whimsy and joy it'd be inconceivable to choose anything other than The Princess Bride
Day 16: A movie that I personally relate to

Edge of Seventeen is mostly relatable in terms of the brother and his relationship with the family BUT it's also relatable cause Nadine dates a hot animator
Day 17: Favorite Movie Sequel

How is Paddington 2 so good? How did we end up with this weird Chaplin-esque family movie about a polite anthropomorphic bear and how did it become one of the best movies in recent memory? I have many questions.
Day 18: Favorite Actor

I love Domhnall Gleeson, from Harry Potter to Ex Machina to Star Wars - but there's no better Domhnall Gleeson movie than About Time. It's charming and moving and so much more than it presents as.
Day 19: Favorite Movie by my Favorite Director

The 👏 Last 👏 Jedi 👏 Is 👏 A 👏 Master 👏 Piece 👏

No one should be surprised that my fav director is @rianjohnson or that my favorite movie he’s done is the TLJ, which is also my favorite movie in my favorite movie franchise.
Day 20: A movie that changed my life

Honestly I have no idea but I’m gonna say Clerks cause it was probably the first time I realized anyone can just, like... make a movie.
Day 21: A Movie I Fell Asleep Watching

Blade Runner

...twice
Day 22: A Movie That Made Me Angry

Rise of Skywalker. Just... why? Every decision. Why?
Day 23: A Film Made by a Director that is Dead

Well that's... dark, but shoutout to Ferris Bueller and John Hughes. The first 30-45 minutes of this movie are non-stop iconic lines/moments and that's wild
Day 24: A movie I wish I saw in theaters

Jurassic Park must have been an incredible theater experience. I hope to see it on a big screen at some point but still that can’t compare to experiencing it for the first time in theaters.
Day 25: A Movie Set in A Different Era

We don't talk about The Road to El Dorado enough which is pathetic cause this is TOP TIER Dreamworks. Plus, its music is written by Elton John which is just *chef's kiss*
Day 26: A movie I like that’s adapted from somewhere

Keeping that Dreamworks train rolling with How to Train Your Dragon and here’s the real tea:

Dreamworks’ peak is better than Disney’s peak
Day 27: A Visually Striking Movie

Little Women deserves more hype in general but it ESPECIALLY deserves more hype for its cinematography. This movie is obscenely beautiful.
Day 28: A Movie That Makes Me Uncomfortable

Posting a day late because I didn't feel right talking about something as trivial as movie tastes right now, but I'm almost done with this thread so guess I'll finish.

Dancer In the Dark is so disturbing I can't do it
