1.Hewad: The word means country. هيواد. 2. Sawkai: The word means chair and also supervision or a security check. څوکۍ

3. Speray Chowday: The word means the first appearance of light in the sky before sunrise/dawn.

4. Audee or Neeli : This word is used for the colour blue. Interesting fact: Da Swat jo pokhanay noom Audiyanaa de. اودي audee. نيلي neelee

5. Gaheez and Sahar: These two words are synonymous and they both meaning morning. gaheez ګهيځ
سهار sahara

6. Gaheez Pakhair/Sahar Pakhair: These are two ways of saying Good morning. I prefer Sahar Pakhair, it’s beautiful.

Hindara: The word means mirror. hindara هنداره

A little background for the word Hindara. The word Hind means water in old Pashto. It is a versatile word which used in Hindwana(watermelon) aswell which simply means the obaa zay.

8. Hask: The word means Sky.People usually say Asmaan but Hask is commonly used in Pashto literature and it also means high. هسک

Nandara(Singular) and Nandaray(Plural): The word has mutiple meanings. It can mean cinema, a film and a drama. ننداره

Aghale: This word is used for addressing a female. It’s a word of respect. It also means beautiful and respectable. اغلې

Mairman: This word means wife. The word khaza can also be used for wife. مېرمن

Narai: This word means world. Interesting fact: There is a pashto mataal, “Mor pa yoaw laas zango oaw pa bal las naray zangawai”. A mother rocks the cradle with one hand, and the world with the other hand. نړۍ

Har kalaa: This word means anytime or you’re welcome. هر کله

Darmaltoon: This word means a pharmacy. Interesting fact: The word toon in Pashto means place. It is a suffix and means town, home etc. درملتون

Chatal: The word means dirty. You could also use skaa. چټل

Pakhlanzay: Kitchen. پخلنځی

Nagara or Nangara: To ignore something or someone. The paikhawar side uses nagharaza aswell. However, Gharaz is an Arabic word. Nagara and Nangara. ناګاره or ناانګاره
The origin of this word is Pashto and it comes from angaer انګېر يا انګېرنه, means perception.

Tanay: Button. تڼۍ

Kor Bandaiz: Lockdown or Quarantine. کوربنديز.
In Kabul the formal word for Quarantine is the Arabic word: قرنطين
which is originated from the Latin word of Quarantine.
