1) The day before yesterday @KowalskisQueen and I talked about how ridiculous it is that some "FB-fans" accuse Queenie of raping Jacob, because she put him under a spell to kidnap him to Europe.
2) Queenie doesn't deserve to be compared to Merope Gaunt, who used a love potion on Tom Riddle.

Yes, Merope raped Tom Riddle, but why did she do it? I'm not defending Merope's action, but I try to think about an explanation for her behaviour.
3) A reputable and respectable man had to marry a girl if he got her pregnant out of wedlock in the 1920s. Actually in the entire first half of the 20th century. My maternal and paternal grandparents had to marry because of an unwanted pregnancy in the 1950s and 1960s.
4) Society rules were much different back then.
And much stricter if it came to a woman's sexuality. Female teachers in 1923 weren't allowed to "keep company with men" for example.
Just read this
5) Merope wasn't the only woman, who got pregnant to trick a man into marrying her. It was risky.
Well, Tom Riddle didn't marry her and she was ruined. If she didn't die, she probably would have become a prostitute.
Where is the different to Queenie and Jacob?
6) There are significant differences. Queenie put Jacob under a spell (she used a spell, not a love potion - reread CoS: Lockhart talks about these spells & compare Jacob's behaviour to Ron's in HBP) to kidnap him, because she wanted to marry him in Europe.
7) I don't want to talk about why I think she would have removed the spell before a potential wedding and how Queenie didn't stop Newt, when Newt noticed she had Jacob under a spell.
(And yes, what she did was wrong, but Jacob forgave her immediately)
8) I want to talk about one thing: Queenie didn't have to bewitch Jacob to make him love her. He already loved her before. He tells her he loves her right after he found out she kidnapped him. He tells Newt that he is missing Queenie.
9) He tells her that he loves her again, before Queenie joined Grindelwald.
Jacob's love for Queenie is obvious.
Queenie didn't use magic to make Jacob love her. Jacob loved her without magic being involved.
10) And Queenie didn't need a spell or potion to seduce Jacob. He is attracted to her.
Rewatch FB1 and pay attention, but this scene sums it up perfectly - A man doesn't react like this if he doesn't fancy a woman!
11) Ladies, if a man looks at you like this and you want to have sex with him, don't buy knockout drops. They won't be necessary.
Just buy some nice lingerie, bring a bottle of wine and take your clothes off.
