ok im still not 100% sold on how I want this to go down but what about kuwajima taking in both zen and kaigaku bc they’re both half-dragon and dragons (and their offspring) are highly looked down upon

dragons have an affinity for magic and probably hve diff elements too? like fire dragons that live around volcanoes (most common), earth/rock dragons that make tunnels in mountains (ppl make towns in abandoned ones), thunder dragons that cause thunderstorms wherever they go, etc.

kaigaku is like the poster baby for half-dragons. he has excellent control over his own magic, he rarely overcharges himself w electricity, he can even make a mini thunderstorm if he concentrates hard enough

(it’s palm sized for now but if he gets older he’ll be able to make real ones)

Zenitsu can only shift. That’s it. It’s the most basic skill you can have. He cries whenever he electrocutes himself accidentally in human form. in fact he can’t even do any kind of magic beyond being exactly like a human that’ll shock u if u touch him

Kaigaku, however, has to wear a hood and bind down his wings bc he has no control over it.

kuwajima finds them in similar but different circumstances with zenitsu about to be sold off to an earl acting as a representative for a king (dragons parts are ) and kaigaku living in a barn attic stealing from the poor family living there who were barely scraping by

He promises to Deal with Them but he just takes them under his “wing” and takes care of them and feeds them and tells them to take a bath but doesn’t help them bc he’s not stupid enough to get shocked on purpose

them growing up together w kuwajima will be less of him trying to train them and more him trying to understand them? he wants them to grow up tough bc the world will be cruel to them and they have no one else besides each other but they never ended up getting along...

half-dragons are rare but their personalities and perceptions of the world are completely different.
