Starving anonymous is a sci fi horror manga, it’s gory themes are exploited to its utmost potential, saying this, it will most likely ruin your appetite by the first chapter. That being said, starving anonymous is repulsive but done it a way that hooks you in.
The story for one, is a pretty basic plot of a survival horror with incredible twists and disturbing gore. The main characters are trying to escape from a facility which as the story progresses reveals to have many sickening secrets and horrors within.
The pacing is brilliant, each chapter providing you with something to get excited for the next. The way the story unfolds and is gradually revealed was satisfying as starving anonymous is a quick read.
Characters are very likeable and all have their own unique twists. Some have their own original backstories and have their own intentions which serve as solid plot devices, especially Natsune.
The art is one of the best parts as it brings out the realistic look to some of the dreadful, gross things in the manga. The story also tells us the ugliness of human nature.
