when I said "jeff winger has depression" I didn't have s******l ideation in mind but as it turns out that seems more and more likely as I keep watching
you can't tell me he wasn't personally invested in fat neil's thing because he started it and he didn't want someone else to go through what he did, and considering neil was s******l, just put 2 and 2 together
also another case of the savior complex he seems to have developed. since no one was there for him when he needed it, he has the impulse to step up and protect people in similar situations to his
this is a fairly normal psychological reaction actually, so it tells us a lot to see when jeff becomes protective, it's when he wishes he had been protected but wasn't.
I really relate with his inability to look past some hurtful things he hasn't dealt with. if you had family problems, you will get reminded of them. everytime you see a person interact with their dad, every family reunion and wedding. not a lot of shows portray this well
when I wrote this thread I wasn't expecting an accidental almost s****** to be the plot of an actual episode but what do you know
to be fair when I wrote my first "jeff winger has depression" post the show hadn't even mentioned he had a therapist yet so really I could always tell
