Why is Twiggy Forrest buying Gov influence? (see thread)
1) Purchase of COVID19 test kits gives Chinese diplomat access gov briefing
2) China being biggest customer for FMG iron ore
3) Former FMG CEO Nev Powers appointed head gov COVID19 committee

https://apple.news/AhFy9lAqjT2-B4zOqvrpkzg
4) Remembering Twiggy was banned by ASIC from being CEO for misleading the sharemarket in regards to value of contract with Chinese steelmills.
5) Influencing gov policy over cashless welfare card with charity work with Aboriginal communities
6) Same time he refuses to pay cash royalties to Yindjibarndi over high court decisions they have sole native title over land FMG Solomon mine is situated in WA. Stating they don’t know how to manage money & will waste it
7) Stating giving them jobs and business contracts better
8) with these jobs & business contracts already needed as part of company operations, moving the cost of royalties from profits to operating costs..
9) significantly reducing the cost to the company vs payment of cash royalties, but decreasing the cash that ends up in TO pocket
10) at the same time claiming Fed Gov funding to undertake such activities promising mining jobs when in reality - local people are made to work in the kitchen & cleaning for 6 months to “prove” they could handle mining rosters (no one else asked to do this to get mining job)
11) Going back to his first partnership with gov for Generation One, commitment of creating 50,000 new jobs for aboriginal people which did not happen, & he's own company FMG commitment to 20% aboriginal employment by 2020..
12) With end of FY20 two months away, the companies indigenous employment rate at 12%, target will not be met as requires in excess of 450 Aboriginal ppl to be employed within weeks.
13) & after 15 yrs, not one aboriginal person is on FMG board or anywhere even close...
14) The only people who have got what was promised are Chinese steel mills...

Question: Why is a man who
- had company go bankrupt previously
- has been banned from being a CEO for misleading the sharemarket
- has failed to meet promised targets for aboriginal employment
- while claiming government funding
- refuses to pay traditional owners what the High Court has ruled is rightfully theirs in royalties
- after 7 years mine operating on their land & FMG making money from it
allowed to influence Australian government policy and process?
