We generate a number of #data modalities ( #sn_RNA-seq, sc #ephys, #morphology, spine density estimation) and look for the hallmarks of #epilepsy progression at the #SingleCell and #celltype to link to the pathophysiology and #seizures
a number of properties are affected by #epilepsy and #disease progression: #ephys #morphology and spine density. a highlight: via #sn_RNA-seq and #modeling we link disease progression in #human #hippocampus to changes in 3 ion conductances 4/X
bio-realistic #modeling of #SingleCell and #networks shows how conductance changes brought about by #epilepsy progression suffice to elicit and increase #seizure-like activity. When reverting the 3 conductances (only!), #network becomes less excitable 5/X
