A3 BAND AU: a thread

Ok so akigumi I’ve already done but I’ll put down their notes here:
Vo. - Banri

HARUGUMI - light and fun ! Like popipa (obvs)

NATSUGUMI - basically hello happy world/fujin rizing (their trademark is funny exchanges during the bridges of each of their songs!)

I’ll follow this thread up with Headcanons I have !

Azuma is Fuyugumi’s troupe-acclaimed “muse”. Azuma goes along with it anyway, even though all he really does is just gently encourage Homare’s ideas into fruition.

BAND DYNAMICS - Fuyugumi:
Homare: creative lead of the band, writes most of the songs alongside Azuma and Hisoka.
Guy: quietly appreciated by the group, he also acts as their manager and keeps things like events and lives organised.

Tsumugi: like misaki, helps translate Homa/Hiso/Azu’s ideas into common sense, and ends up being the voice reason a lot of the time.
Tasuku: scouted randomly, often appears to be the person dragged into the band’s dramatic schemes, despite his rarely-expressed passion for music.

Hisoka: acts as a catalyst for homare’s ideas by adding input, and spends a lot of time with his eyes shut, practicing on his bass. Mysterious and drowsy as ever, but performs with surprising vigour on stage.
Azuma: goes along with anything, the group’s muse and agony aunt.

UPDATE ON HOMARE - playing live he tends to play the violin, and occasionally the harp depending on the song (he also plays the cello)

AKIGUMI: taichi and Azami are brothers and they do Epic Guitar Shit on stage. Like guitar CONVERSATIONS! End tweet

^^ Taichi’s been doing guitar for a while now, so he’s a bit more experienced, so he’s the main guitar of the group. Both of the brothers share solidarity in their passion for the band and guitar.

A headcanon for AKIGUMI: the band discovers juza’s silky-smooth voice, and make an EP with Juza as the main vocals, and Banri taking his place as bass player for the duration of recording ! Azami is backup vocals as usual, and later down the line they release a JuBan duet :^)

KazuOmi propaganda is STRONG in this AU and they are basically dating. I have a side story about how they get together (ty Hannah) if u wanna know what that is DM me lol. Anyway kazunari makes a song that’s vaguely about omi and natsugumi helps him perform it as the main vocalist

MASUMI JUZA KUMON TAICHI and AZAMI all form a temporary collab band called Phoenix which they get together to play small lives and impromptu jam sessions ! Gt. masumi, ba. Juza, vo. Kumon, dr. Taichi (he can play a bit), and gt. 2 vo. 2 azami

PHOENIX HEADCANONS with vio!

Taichi, while not the first to have an online fanclub, certainly has the most dedicated fanbase. They frequent his lives and it’s likely you’ll hear squeals during his guitar solos.

FUYUGUMI has a large emphasis on their imagery. They focus on dark/light motifs. Their “dark” members are: Guy, Homare and Tasuku, with their “light” members being: Azuma, Hisoka and Tsumugi. It isn’t explicitly stated, but can be seen in their PVs and performances. (1/2)

For example, on stage they’ll introduce the “light” members first, with a brighter light placed upon them, and lower, blue-tinted lights shining upon the “dark” members as they’re introduced. In PVs, they’ll often be introduced with their respective black/white backgrounds

(2/3*)^^ Also, their costumes will reflect this too. HomaGuyTasu will have dark colours/black as primary colours, whereas TsumuAzuHiso will have more muted colours/silver as their primary colours. Oftentimes both sides of the band will have one common secondary colour to match

Did I add this? Kumon bounces around a LOT on stage and sometimes gets too hyped up and almost stage dives. He also has loads of calls and responses with the crowd, and has to get pulled back by Kazu or Tenma to stop him doing anything too crazy

Kumon birthday live where they let him chuuni-fy the whole live, as everyone in the crowd acts as his fellow warriors into battle!
Muku birthday live where they dress him up in royal clothes and surprise him with the crowd greeting him all at once with “greetings, prince Muku!”

Bassists are known for their little quirks on stage, right? What are these bassists up to?
Juza: MAAAJOR bass face. Some people think it’s hot, other people think it’s funny. Either way, you gotta admit, his look is smouldering.
Muku: he bounces up and down in one place !

Chikage: all of the bloom*ing! Fans will notice how chikage turns SUPER Moody during lives. His face goes all dark throughout the whole song, but his gentlemanly appearance returns afterwards! It kinda contrasts with Sakuya’s flower-y appearance... but it works!

Hisoka: subtle, but still noticeable, Hisoka tends to stomp his foot in time to the beat, and tends to crouch a lot. Chikage and Hisoka are known for how scary they look when they focus on a difficult bass solo.

Tasuku probably ends up straining his voice after practicing too hard, and Tsumugi has to give him lemon and honey water. TasuTsumu are still childhood friends who have grown up playing guitar and singing together, with Tsumugi always preferring Tasuku to take centre stage.

Kazunari recording a cover for NatsuJan’s page and Omi walking past and smiling fondly at him, and KazuOmi theorists in the fanbase going WILD... (They make it public later on, dw)
