We've been getting lots of questions about accessing trans healthcare throughout COVID-19, so we reached out to @healthdpt for clarification on some issues.

Most trans folks get hormones through primary care, with monitoring and dosage advice being provided via secondary care (endo clinics, etc).
The DOH said: 'GPs are continuing to offer appointments for patients with non-Covid-19 related' concerns, and folks should speak to their own GP to determine the 'most clinically appropriate course of action for their particular medical & personal circumstances'.
They recognised the importance of keeping essential GP services operating, and have 'moved rapidly to establish a network of new Primary Care Covid-19 centres' to manage the virus growth while freeing up GPs to deliver non-Covid-19 related essential care.
They also provided some guidance for those who receive testosterone injections in the Royal Victoria Hospital:
"[The injection service] has temporarily stopped and all clients were contacted to inform them of this. The Society for Endocrinology has indicated that no physical harm will result from short temporary interruption in testosterone injections, although we acknowledge that...
this may contribute to extra psychological stress."
They also said, as an alternative, patients can opt for 'temporary testosterone gel preparations,' stating that patients had been informed of this and 'several are already availing' of the offer.

We hope this information is helpful to some of you who may have been concerned about accessing care throughout this.
