Faith, or trust, if you’re so inclined, is not something we can attain. It is nothing more than a posture of letting go of everything — a surrender to grasping nothing at all, and in that, finding that there in that place, Love is entrusting to you your very life.

This is also why pain, (while not something to be glorified & w/a moral imperative to relieve it) often also reveals God in our inability to stop it all. Suffering is a point of helplessness where the revealed absence of our ability to self-protect unveils that which sustains us.

This truth about faith is also why there is no Gospel but Love. There is no Word but Love — & Love is beyond all words. All formulas & even paths fall short at bringing us to the Mystery. The only word, formula, or path is your actual life, plainly given & deeply surrendered to.
