Today the Supreme Court mooted the Second Amendment case on the docket this term (New York State Rifle & Pistol Assn., Inc. v. City of New York). NY had already conceded that its regulation was so draconian it would have rendered the Second Amendment totally meaningless. (1/2)

Today four justices—Thomas, Alito & Gorsuch (who dissented on the mootness issue), and Kavanaugh—rightfully reaffirmed the Court's holding and analysis in District of Columbia v. Heller. We will see this issue back at the Court again before long. (2/2)
