THAI DRAMAS I’VE WATCHED — a thread

unnecessary info i feel the need to say

- this thread should be ongoing since i’m not gonna stop lol
- gonna rate these also and give a few comments
- i’ve been watching thai dramas for about 2 years atp
- this is mostly for me to keep track of what i’ve watched

HORMONES #วัยว้าวุ่น
plot: shows the lives of multiple teenagers attending the same school. it shows the struggles many teenagers go through such as sexuality, family issues, sex, bullying, etc.
- my first thai drama
- a really talented ensemble cast
- interesting storylines

cont:
- one of the only thai dramas to have a lesbian couple
- actually pretty good. the characters are relatable. it brought light to a lot of things teens deal with that dramas refused to show at the time which was a big deal.
- on the favorites list
rating: 8.5/10

LOVE SICK #รักวุ่นวัยรุ่นแสบ
plot: follows the lives of students attending an all boys school. mainly focuses on phun and noh who make a deal which causes them to become closer and eventually fall in love.
- very soft
- not one of those bl with a lot of skinship and kissing

cont:
- a lot of side characters i found uninteresting and skipped through lol
- just 2 high school boys confused about their feelings for each other
- 2 seasons !
- there’s a spin-off like 5 years later
- also they’re making a movie sequel !
- rating: 8/10

THE UNDERWEAR #รักชั้นนัย
plot: young adults and teens all connect through an internet forum called ‘the underwear’
- tw suicide, eating disorder
- not a super memorable show tbh i just found it on netflix and thought it sound interesting

- the dramatics of it are okay actually but the scenes that try to be funny are horrible
- another rare drama that shows a lesbian relationship
- i think it’s a hit or miss really

SOTUS #พี่ว้ากตัวร้ายกับนายปีหนึ่ง
plot: freshman kongpob and senior hazer arthit argue over the use of power. the tense relationship between the two eventually leads to affection and love
- enemies to lovers you knowww
- very iconic
- also doesn’t have a lot of skinship

cont:
- has 2 seasons and honestly i think the second is better than the first
- very lovable characters and you won’t get tired of watching
- cute couple too
- also one of my faves
rating: 9/10 i love this drama

BANGKOK LOVE STORIES: INNOCENCE
multiple characters find love in bangkok’s silam district
- another one i just found on netflix
- i don’t think it’s meant to be taken too seriously, it’s a comedy-drama
- cute, funny, likable characters actually

- het and gay storylines for those who care
- not bad at all but not the greatest
rating: 7/10

BANGKOK LOVE STORIES: PLEAD
plot: a girl falls in love with a blind fortune teller but their fortunes don’t align and bad things keep happening
- also on netflix
- not cute and fun like the last bk love stories, actually pretty sad
- the blind main character is interesting

- based in bangkok’s china town which is really pretty so A+ for scenery
- don’t watch if you wanna see the characters be happy

3 WILL BE FREE #สามเราต้องรอด
plot: neo is on the run from the mafia. while escaping he accidentally gets Miw, a gogo bar manager and shin, the son of the mafia boss involved. while on the run they deal the with romantic and sexual tension between each other

cont:
- polyamorous couple? thrupple?
- honestly the trio is very cute, friendship wise and romance wise
- transgender main role that actually talks about the struggles of being trans too
- really good it makes you want to keep watching, another fave

THE GIFTED
plot: pang gets accepted into his school’s gifted program and learns it isn’t based on intelligence but super powers. the school’s hiding a big secret and he has to find out.
- xmen but they aren’t heroes and the academy is evil
- a talented ensemble cast seriously
