I feel the need to tweet about Clubhouse. Here's my uninformed take, particularly focused on GTM-motion, having not used it nor been invited to it (I know what that signals
).
TLDR: interesting start, but I worry about scale. Some thoughts below

TLDR: interesting start, but I worry about scale. Some thoughts below

1. Value prop is interesting & initial beta of high caliber users has driven great buzz
While folks may be annoyed, virality is key to a business like this and drives down acquisition costs over time. Creating pent-up demand is smart- think about Superhuman.

2. I worry about the value prop over time. The platform is dependent on network effects, BUT is also dependent on perceived caliber of platform.
question for me is scale- how do you add more people without decreasing utility/satisfaction?

3. One way is through group curation, but that reduces virality & makes it challenging from user onboarding experience. There's also concern around what happens when we aren't at
which likely drives
usage. Also, diversity.
I have more thoughts, but will spare yall the rest!
