THREAD. If you're after some #MondayMotivation & stories of nice things that have happened despite the ongoing apocalypse, here's a few examples of @CLIC_Sargent supporters & the incredible things they've been doing so we can keep helping young people with cancer.
On Sunday, the #TwoPointSixChallenge took place. On what would have been the day of the London Marathon, over 100 supporters took part in a range of activities to raise money for @CLIC_Sargent. Here's the story of two of those challenges...
First, Lauren & Charlie, who ran up and down the stairs for 26 minutes! As you can see, it took a fair amount of effort... they've raised £430 & I'm loving the brand awareness as well with the @CLIC_Sargent t-shirts from when they took part in last year's Manchester 10k.
Another supporter meanwhile has messaged to let us know that she is putting @CLIC_Sargent forward for a donation/award of £2,000 for our work in the North West, which is a wonderful & generous thing to do to help at this time.
This was just the first three things I'd seen when I got into the 'office' this morning (i.e. I walked the 10 meters or so to where my work laptop is). A lot of other incredible things have been happening, across the whole of the UK. And as I'm a fundraiser...
I haven't mentioned all the incredible things are social worker teams are doing. It's not been easy, but @CLIC_Sargent social workers continue to provide exceptional help. It's just now it is all over the phone/online etc., at a time when their work is needed more than ever.
Anyway, that's that - a bit of good news & positivity for you all this Monday!
