...my day trying to calm my patients' fear. My elderly pts think everyone wants to write them off. They feel abandoned. My patients with chronic disease ask what will happen if they get infected. My pts who test positive are afraid to die and infect their loved ones. 2/

No one here is protesting to go back to work. They are scared of going back to work. Some essential workers have begged me to give them a note to stay out of work. No one feels their liberties are being trampled on. They know because they are living the horror show. 3/

I'm glad that people in some states haven't seen this and feel we are making this all up. We are not. Ask any person living in NYC/NJ. We are living in terrifying times. We now that just a brief contact with someone can lead to their death. I'm treating whole families of pts.. 4/

THIS is why I'm asking you all to stay home. I don't want to sign another death certificate. I don't want to keep looking at fear in my patients eyes and telling them there is no treatment, no vaccine. 5/

I can't predict who will die because I would often be wrong.
