1. Abdallah bin Mas’ud narrates that he asked the prophet (saw), “which deed is the dearest to Allah?” He (saw) replied , “ To offer salaat at their fixed times.” The rest of the hadith mentions being dutiful parents and jihaad as those next dearest to Allah. (Bukhari)
2. They’re an expiation for your sins. Abu Huraira narrates that he heard the prophet (saw) saying , “ if there was a river at the door of anyone of you and he took a bath in it five times a day, would you notice any dirt on him?” They said , “ not a trace of dirt would be left.”
....The prophet (saw) added, “ that is the example of the five salaats with which Allah annuls evil deeds. (Bukhari)
3. In the Quran , suratul hud ayah 114 ,” And establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of the night. Indeed, good deeds do away with misdeeds. That is a reminder for those who remember.” Therefore they wipe away our sins.
4. It rescues from Hell, protects against danger, and enables a person to win Paradise. The Prophet (saw) said: “The one who prays before sunrise (Fajr prayer) and before sun set (Asr prayer) will not enter Hell Fire.” (Muslim)
5. It is a sign of success and victory, and an indication of being accepted. Allah says in suratul Mu’uminun ayah 1 and 2 “Successful indeed are the believers. Those who offer their Salah with all solemnity and full submissiveness.” and also “And those who strictly guard their...
...prayers (at their fixed stated hours). These are indeed the inheritors. Who shall inherit the Firdaws (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever.” [ Mu’uminun 9-11]
6. It is the first thing for which the slave will be held accountable. The Prophet (saw) said: “The first thing for which the slave will be held accountable for on the day of Resurrection is his prayer; if it is good (by performing it properly and on time), then all his affairs..
...will be good, and if it is ruined (by neglecting it), then all his affairs will be ruined.” [At-Tabaraani]
7. It protects against following desires, evil sins and cures from sicknesses, as Allah says in Quran in suratul ankabut aya 45 ,” Verily, Salah prevents from Al-Fahshaa& #39; (great sins of every kind, unlawful sexual intercourse) and Al-Munkar (disbelief, polytheism) .
8. The Prophet (saw) said that whoever does ablution correctly and performs the Fardh prayers on time and in an appropriate manner will indeed be guaranteed Allah’s forgiveness.(Abu Dawood). Furthermore, prayer itself is a great time to seek Allah’s forgiveness and make dua....
...Specifically, when one is performing the sajdah (prostration); we are told by the Prophet (saw)that believers are closest to Allah when prostrating (Saheeh Muslim).
9. A few benefits of praying Fajr: The prophet (saw) said ,” he who offers Fajr in congregation will enjoy the protection of Allah both in this world and the Hereafter.(Bukhari).
The prophet (saw) also said that ,” he who performs Fajr prayer will be saved from the fire of Hell.” (Bukhari)
Fajr has more than five benefits but to keep the thread short I’ll list these two only.

10. Benefit of dhuhr prayer : . The doors of heaven are open at dhuhr. The prophet (saw) said pertaining to dhuhr, "This is an hour at which the gates of heaven are opened, and I like that my good deeds should rise to heaven at that time.” (Tirmidhi)
11. Benefits of Asr prayer : Asr prayer is witnesses by Angels. It is narrated in hadith: “The angels of the night and the angels of the afternoon go to you. And they gather at dawn prayer and Asr prayer. Then the angel who guards you up to Allah Almighty asks them -and Allah...
...knows their circumstances (His servants) -, “In what state did you leave my servants?” The angels replied, “We leave them in a state of being set up the prayer. So when we go to them, they are in prayer. “(Bukhari)
12. Benefit of praying isha and fajr in jamaah : the prophet (saw) said, “Whoever offers Isha salah in jama’ah it is as though he spent half the night in worship. And whoever offers fajr salah in jama’ah it is as though he spent the entire night in worship.” (Muslim)
The five daily prayers are a vital part of being muslim. May Allah makes us steadfast in performing them throughout our lives and may He grant us forgiveness and pardon in our wrongs. Amiin
