Lockdown has taught me a lot about my personal energy cycles.
It takes a lot for me to get up and get going, but once I’m up and about, I’m a machine for like 12 hours.
I start the day by putting on some good music that makes me feel nice. I do a full sweep & mop of my place

During that time - I also check my phone, maybe reply to a few urgent messages - then do dishes & make a coffee, put a load of washing in the machine.
Comedy inspiration usually hits me about 3 hours after I wake up, so I stop what I’m doing and record.

Then once housework is done, I jump in the shower, and I do my prayers in the shower (for some reason i feel closer to God when I’m in or around water) and list the things I’m grateful for - and set my intentions for the next 24 hours.
I know it seems counterintuitive to do your to-do list in the middle of the day, but that’s when my head is clear, and basics are done, so I can tackle more strenuous mental jobs.
Cooking for yourself requires creative inspiration, and I’m using that for my other work. So mostly I just throw a piece of meat in the air fryer, and steam some vegetables. I have a sweet tooth, so I snack on chocolate at night when I need comfort.
My phone is on DND permanently. And I only engage with it on my terms. And that’s ok. I give myself permission to rest. I don’t do “fitness” stuff, but the housework keeps me busy, and I’m doing some DIY home improvemens.
