Let’s talk about this, because as is typical, she’s correct. The FBI HAD to have known these existed for several reasons, however the most important (IMHO) was that they were working with the SC and all manner of “Russian Collusion” https://twitter.com/realslokhova/status/1254760204035596290
Remember how I pointed out that Durham was on the case by AT LEAST October of 2018, when Baker was testifying to the House. Baker mentioned a leak investigation and said it was Durham. People told me at the time that had nothing to do with spygate. I vehemently disagree.
The theory that the DOJ was holding on to exculpatory information in the Flynn case in favor of another investigation doesn’t hold any water with me. If this were true, can you imagine how many times this excuse would be used to strip someone of their liberty?
“We didn’t give him that piece of evidence that completely exonerates him because we were busy with it somewhere else”. Nope - not how it works.
If they had it their way, @GenFlynn would’ve already been sentenced. The only reason he didn’t get sentenced is because he made such a great decision in switching attorneys. This would’ve all gone away.
So, the logical determination is that the FBI withheld and hid this information and the US Attorney assigned to take a look at all of these bogus prosecutions found it in his own review.
I also don’t buy the theory that @GenFlynn purposefully put he and his family through this absolutely painful process for some big unveiling at a later date. The motions don’t indicate that, the pulse of the case doesn’t indicate that, and it doesn’t make logical sense.
In the VERY beginning I theorized that he took the plea for discovery etc, but as the case wore on and more information became available it was clear that this wasn’t the case. It’s clear from the evidence we now have before us that there was malfeasance on the part of (cont)
Covington, and that is what caused the issue. They threatened him. When this case is dropped, it’s going to be a prime case to demonstrate how the government intimidates good people into pleading guilty for things they know they never did.
