1/n #SadarPranam to Ishvara within everyone including @Javedakhtarjadu , @ashoswai etc etc who believe that #Savarkar was British Bootlickers.

ANYONE may respond should u have enough SUBSTANCE. https://twitter.com/ashoswai/status/1253583861948317697
2/n @ashoswai Let us visit Petition of 3/10/914
Savarkar,
1) Offers to "volunteer to do any service in the present War, that the Indian gov think fit to demand”.

2)Requested the release of “all those prisoners who had been convicted for committing political offences in India”.
3/n Gandhi was back in India. While traversing villages he recruited volunteers to assist the Brits in the War.

He even said: “England’s need shouldn't be turned into our opportunity and that it was more becoming and far-sighted not to press our demands while the war lasted.”
4/n Source for 3/n "The Story of My Experiments with Truth: An Autobiography" by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

So @ashoswai if compare 3/n and 2/n, how do I not assume Gandhi's appeal not to be equivalent to that of Savarkar's petition of October 1914?
5/n Also do not forget that Gandhi had received the Kaisar-i-Hind gold medal for his loyalty.
