“Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway.” J. Wayne

Cattle Producers,
Ours is the industry of Chisholm, Grant, Cattle Kate and Goodnight, immortalized on the screen by Wayne, Autry and the Cartwrights. Strong, independent fighters, pioneers and trailblazers 1/
They explored and settled a wild nation. Battled through the droughts, floods, wildfires and blizzards. They strung wire across the prairies, cleared the timber and harnessed the creeks and streams. They built and left us an industry; we are the legacy of their life’s work 2/
But we’ve dishonored them. We allowed the corrupt and greedy to lead, excused ourselves from drafting policy and legislation. Middle men in silver bellys and shiny boots sold us out. While we were content to work harder, sacrifice a little, pray more. That’s where we are today 3/
Radical whispers for decades finally exploding into a howl! A hurting nation, once again looking upon our industry and giving us an opportunity to fix what has been broken. Cattlemen and women, cowboys, farmer feeders and beef eaters finally finding their damn voices 4/
Independent cattlemen need to take back what is rightfully ours. Break up the Packer Monopoly, Mandatory Country of Origin Labeling, Increased negotiation and transparency. Burn up representatives phone lines, put pen to paper, call the media, organize your friends and family 5/
