First addition to my gallery was ‘Girl with a Pearl earring’ by Johannes Vermeer, c.1665. The real painting is in the Mauritshuis gallery collection at The Hague, Netherlands #Vermeer #mauritshuis #arthistory #museumsfromhome #ACNH
The in-game gallery label reads: “Also known as ‘Girl with a Turban’, this piece uses ultramarine paint, which was expensive at the time. It seems the expense was worth it, as the vivid blue colours draw the eye and help make the piece a classic”
