Guys let me tell you!

Older Men want to date younger women so they can groom them, manipulate and abuse them.

They use the power imbalance, and life inexperience of the younger woman to prey on her.

A thread
The older guys wants someone who has not yet experienced any financial freedom so they can provide that to that person and be a savior. To create a sense of attachment on victim’s part & being owed so that it is difficult for the victim to leave them.

Abusers use same tactic
Abusers use same tactic of taking away the financial freedom of victim so that she can’t leave and is attached to abuser nomatter what he does because ultimately she needs to survive and be provided for by abuser.
These older men want someone without relationship experience so they can manipulate the girls’ relationship ideologies to suit their agenda. Because what does a 16 year old know about true love?

And it gets ugly to the point of normalizing rape in the name of “love”
The power imbalance is used to manipulate. He will say he is providing for her cause he loves her so whenever he wants sex she must give him cause she must provide for his needs too if she loves him

Or else some1 will give him what he needs.

Make her feel insecure & dispensable
An insecure, attached woman with no financial freedom is so much easier to control.

Even when her friends tell her that she is being abused, she will tell them that they are jealous. They want her place, they don’t know true love, every relationship has its ups and downs etc.
The problem is the men.

But as women

We need transparent, honest Conversations with young women about financial freedom, signs of manipulation & abuse, about power dynamics & forming an identity outside of a role in a man’s life.

Safe spaces where there is no judgement
Where we allow women the freedom to explore & choose who they want to be with

But giving them knowledge to make informed choices & be aware of warning signs so they can protect themselves
