rating monkeys and apes and that because i watched a nature documentary last night. A THREAD!

spider monkey: uhhh yeah honestly like a 3/10 the limbs are TOO long and i don’t like spiders so the name alone knocks it down a few points. seems pretty cool though

squirrel monkey: hell yeah very cute got such a lovely little face, gotta say this is a healthy 5/10. looks fun to be around

vervet monkey: a classic vervet monkey. when i think “monkey” i think of a vervet monkey. love these guys im gonna say 7/10 you guys rock

proboscis monkey/long nosed monkey: there’s a lot going on here not gonna lie but this monkey looks so wise...these monkeys just know things and i really respect that. 7.5/10

pygmy marmoset: HELL YEAH so cute absolutely ADORABLE. 8/10 i wanna kiss its little head

common marmoset: idk i get bad vibes from this guy...like you’re cute but.....idk you just kind of unsettle me. 4/10

rhesus macaque: absolutely classic monkey here. if there’s any rhesus macaques reading this i just wanna say i think you guys are great. solid 8.5/10

gibbon: small ape NOT a monkey. again looks very wise. gives GREAT advice. 8/10 love yous

Golden Lion Tamarin: YESSSS look at you!!!!! constantly raising the bar. 9/10 so much character here!!!!!!

Japanese Macaque/snow monkey: ICONIC MONKEY ALERT!!! 10/10 no doubt about it. look at them.....stunning.... they’re just chilling in the water... i love that for them

Mandrill: im a little bit scared of you but i love the colours you look very interesting. 7/10

baboon: Not sure if you’re an ape or a monkey? I love how we share a lot of similar DNA, very cool. 8.5/10

blue monkey: kinda boring. sorry...3/10

Bearded saki: interesting design. looks like it would study philosophy. 6/10

blue eyed black lemur: honestly not a huge fan of lemurs. kinda cute but sort of underwhelming? 4/10 sorry to the lemur stans

Bonobo: turns out NOT a chimpanzee, but a different species all together. sorry to bonobos but i would’ve said you were a chimpanzee so maybe work on being original? 5/10

Emperor tamarin: YESSS i love this!!!!!!!! a moustache????!!!! amazing. no ones doing it like an emperor tamarin 9/10!!!!!!

Gorilla: im kind of a gorilla stan? these guys look like a man in a costume and i really admire that. 10/10 you guys are the largest, strongest and heaviest of all primates!!!! congrats babe!!!!

grey legged night monkey: so im guessing by the name these guys only come out at night? so they’re kind of like the vampires of monkeys? that’s really cool. 7/10

Bengal Hanuman langurs: very cute, this guy has kind eyes. but kinda boring? we’ve seen it before you know? 6/10 needs some pizazz

Bornean orangutan: CLASSIC!!! everyone loves an orangutan..but i think they always look a bit :-( sad :-( you know so 9/10 maybe cheer up? i hope everything’s okay

Pied tamarin: there’s a lot going on here i don’t really know what to say....6/10 i respect that you’re trying to be different

Silvery marmoset: I am obsessed the way this marmoset looks like a little old man.....so cute 10/10

White-faced saki: very original theres simply no one like a white faced saki and for that this is a solid 8/10

Crested black macaque: i can imagine this guy reading a book under a tree. 9/10

Ebony langur: uhhhh kind of looks like a demon? looks like it would sell you something faulty. pretty cute though 2/10 i don’t trust it

Sumatran Orangutan: second orangutan on this thread but this one is a 10/10 i love how it has a little micro fringe

nald uacari: YOU LOOK SO ANGRY!!!!! WHATS WRONG????! 10/10 i love them

Qinling golden monkey: another god tier monkey 10/10 i really wanna hug this one
