Lockdown renewal? Nah!!! Capable and intelligent Nigerian Epidemiology, health care and Economy expert, have to come together to draft 'a plan' for us to Live with Covid 19. Simply put, we can't afford to Lock ourselves forever, the economy must run cocurrently with covid 19.....
For scenario one, everything makes it impossible, ranging from Geographical size, population, corruption and bad governance. Simply put Nigeria doesn't have the Capacity or means to feed herself in Lockdown. We ain't UAE or Luxembourg, may government no dey bobo us with audio....
'Reliefs and Pallivates' they have basically swallowed the funds for that. This two weeks auto renewal subscription is just a waste of our time, nothing would change, number of cases won't drop, and the economy standard of living continues to Corrode, Lockdowm is pointless.
Does my breakdown of Scenario one now ask us to throw caution into the wind? Hell no! Cause that would definitely bring is to scenario two, which unfortunately once again we are useless with working with that. Nigeria health care system can't take 500 people at a go....
They can't, quote me anywhere, all those mad stunts you see USA and China pull with providing thousands of beds, ventilators, mask and isolation Centre in a twinkle of an eye is not possible for us so we can strike scenario two out. So what's the way forward?
My first point on this thread health experts, Economist and stakeholders alike must all come together to brainstorm and draft a plan for us to comfortably Live with the Pandemic, simply put, Business as usual but with extra caution, keep the elderly and Medically compromised...
At home. Let others go about their hustle. The median age of Nigeris is 20 if not less, Statiscally Covid 19 is not lethal to people in that age range. Keep religious Centres, event centres, and other public spaces under Lockdown, let people go about their hustle.
