/10 Hi, I‘m Dominik Huenniger, a researcher #imakraft @unihh. I work on the history of #museums & #nathist #collections. In the next 2 weeks I will be tweeting from @Openglam & talk about how #openglam supports me as a researcher & also as a citizen & how I use it & contribute.
/10 I am currently writing a book on the #materialculture & #history of #entomology / insect studies from ca. 1760-1820. The hashtag #enthist highlights my own & other’s research & also (re)sources. Collaboration with curators, scientists & #museums within #openglam is key.
/10 There is a growing interest in the #history of #nathist and the use of #collections beyond #science. This includes #envhist, #art, #HistSTM. Connecting #collections & using #databases created through/with #openglam is very important here. Thanks @Europeanaeu among others.
/10 If you want to follow more #enthist people you can find some of them in this thread: https://twitter.com/dominikhhh/status/1104644312489435136?s=20
I hope my #openglam tweets will create further interest and many more people will use #enthist. Who is a fellow #enthist enthusiast?
/10 The #openglam #collections I use most frequently & with whose curators I work most closely are @hunterian @ZoolMuseumKiel @NHM_London, the CeNak @unihh @ForumWissenGoe @LinneanSociety. Who else has #enthist collections from ca. 1760-1820?
