Honestly who wants to return to the previous normal?

1) 10k homeless incl. 4k kids
2) gig economy, employment that exploits and doesn't pay a living wage
3) nursing homes where profit means more than care to the owners
4) a discriminatory two tiered health service

Cont.....
5) record homelessness that doesnt count all the people in their late 20s early 30s living at home due cost of rent/housing
6) politicians getting pay rises while threatening financial penalties against nurses
7) public land being sold at a loss go exacerbate 1,2 and 5

Cont....
8) a complete lack of political accountability where a TD can take 200k in expenses for not showing up
9) a political suppression of the working class (welfare cheats debacle)
10) a country with 1.4bn surplus in tax in a year it cuts disability funding

Cont...
11) a country where childcare costs the same as an excessively high mortgage
12) Direct Provision centres that get paid excessively to provide unacceptable standards of living
13) no meaningful climate action
14) a political culture of national plans with no follow up
We need a new normal. The old way wasn't just or fair. A governments role is to provide for every citizen, not just the ones who have the means to exploit others.
