This week we’re profiling our #InnovationGroup who identify new approaches and ways of working. Let’s introduce you to the team.
Nicole Phillips, a family lawyer at @FLiPltd, believes in helping clients to divorce ‘well’. She works with a range of finance & therapeutic professionals to achieve an intelligent divorce for clients. @nic_ole_p
@ThomasBrownrig1 is a Partner, Mediator & Collaborative lawyer at @GoodmanRay1 and co-chair of the #InnovationGroup. He deals with a range of family issues & strives to keep evolving his practice by learning new ways of working so he can offer the most choice to his clients.
@tamsincaine is a Chartered Financial Planner working with separating & divorcing clients to help them sort their finances & divorce amicably. She hosts The Smart Divorce Podcast which provides help, tips & information from a wide range of professionals.
@RachelMGElliott, a family lawyer at Turner Nicholson, is interested in how legal apps can be used to complement the family lawyer’s role for the client’s benefit. Most recently, she involved the use of @ourfamilywizard co-parenting app in a case.
@CMaulkin is a collaboratively trained lawyer at @familylawflp contributing to the design of #lawtech projects incorporating Artificial Intelligence in the #familylaw space.
Melanie Bataillard-Samuel co-chairs the #InnovationGroup & sits on @ResFamilyLaw Nat Committee. She is a solicitor & Collab Lawyer with @expatriatelaw. She is interested in the practices & tools which allow for remote/virtual working practices. And tweets jokes on @M_Bataillard
Marina Pedro is a Family Law Solicitor at Teelan & Silwal. She is always keen to learn about new innovative ideas and has welcomed these in practice. Marina is especially interested in the development of smartphone apps and how these can be used to support clients.
David Lillywhite is a Partner, Mediator and Collab Lawyer with @burgessmee. He believes that collaborative law is a much-forgotten tool for resolving disputes between families. He tweets, occasionally about family law, from @Davvers.
@ClaireAndrews36 is an Associate Solicitor with @OsbornesLaw. She welcomes the use of divorce coaches in her practice and is increasingly using virtual mediation, particularly during lockdown.
Lee Henderson is an Associate at Penningtons Manches Cooper. He is a firm believer that paperless working is the future of family law and could significantly reduce delay in the court process.
@EmmersonDavid is a family lawyer and #mediator at @AnthonyGoldLaw & has a very high success rate resolving issues concerning finances and children for separating couples. His experience as a part time family judge helps. Works well with #Zoom and #Skype
Newcastle based Lawyer/Mediator @marycshaw helps people regardless of geography & has worked online for over 3 years-but she didn't have a crystal ball. Her biggest innovation is low tech-she doesn't negotiate by letter: speaking always helps her clients & their families best
Chris Fairhurst is a partner at McAlister Family Law. He has made appearances on several BBC stations including BBC Radio London and BBC Radio 5 Live and advised researchers at BBC news in respect of important family law issues of the day. @Fairygodlawyer
