i’m gonna say it: one teacher at the high school i went to is worshipped by by a vast amount of people, and they should not be. this person IGNORED a case of torment and bullying involving me and a group of students close to them that put me into a deep depression. there was -
not only physical evidence of this torment, but also admission directly from the source that it happened. this torment included comments about physical appearance and hateful videos being made and spread. after going to administration and said teacher about this issue, -
no punishment was given to the group of students, one coincidentally being the teacher’s known favorite. i was made out to be the bad guy because i expressed my discontent with this situation on twitter and i was forced to apologize while all i got from the main perpetrator -
was a YELLED bullshit excuse for an apology. i went to a school where each year i had been there, we lost a student to suicide, so the fact that this teacher didn’t show me ANY sympathy and didn’t punish the blatant bullies is disgusting to me. i cant be too shocked though -
because this is the same teacher that said to a class of impressionable teenagers that suicide is a selfish thing, even after having one of her own students commit suicide during my freshman year. the moral of this story is just because a teacher introduces you to something -
that changed your life, that doesn’t mean that they themself are the one that changed your life. move beyond high school and make a name for yourself instead of making a name attached to someone who was supposed to always be there for their students and instead made their -
mental situation go to shit. OH and one more thing: instead of using their power to intervene, this teacher also expected someone that was inappropriately touched without their consent to have a conversation with the person that did it :) so that’s really fucking cool. fuck ths.
