BOMBSHELL (2019)
Dir : Jay Roach
Cast : Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, Margot Robbie

In which why I think Bombshell should be one hell of a TV series instead of one movie. (8/10)

⚠️SPOILER AHEAD, READ ON YOUR OWN RISK⚠️
I'll just be quick for those of you who's too lazy to read it on Wiki, this movie is about the accounts of women who works for Fox News, filing a lawsuit against their (now former) boss, Roger Ailes, for sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior at the office towards women-
-Although it starts when Gretchen Carlson (Nicole Kidman) was fired after being removed as a co-anchor to a low rating show, most of the pov of this film is from Megyn Kelly (Charlize Theron) who was one of the most famous anchors at Fox, who turns out to be one of his victims.
Gretchen started suing Roger and asked for any women at the office to come forward and speak up if they've ever be Roger's victim. Including Megyn and Kayla (Margot Robbie), who was also the victim of the crime, and for me personally, the best character of all.
As one of sexual harassment victims, this movie hit me personally especially Kayla's story. I'm not American, I didn't know about this scandal until I watched this movie, but the topic of this movie should be discussed globally. Which I think that's why this film flopped in USA.
Why? Because it a story about going up against a powerful man, in a powerful company. Even worse for Megyn who's being hated by the nation for outing Trump. Confusing? No, I swear to you, this movie is not at all confusing if you keep your eyes on the screen.
I was triggered for some scenes bcs it reminded me of how vulnerable I was being in that position. The movie even said, "One thing about sexual harassment, we never know if we did the right or wrong thing."

Bcs let's face it, no one is responsible of your feelings except you.
Though the make up dept should win all the prize, the actor's performances are also outstanding. That one scene of Kayla, it's so painful to watch and I did fucking drop a tear for her. This movie is really personal to me, so please don't judge me.
This thread is so freaking long but I'll just have to say his out to the ether. This movie is too short. This would be one hell of a tv series for going deeper into the characters. It needs more runtime desperately. And I was surprised of how I like this film.
This movie isn't trying to be feminist. It's all about how powerful men could easily get away from the crime they did (yes, I'm talking to you too, Trump), and how sexual harassment is never acceptable and should be spoken up. I've been there, trust me, YOU HAVE TO SPEAK UP.
Lastly, I think his is a great movie and I regretted the time I didn't watch this sooner. It has trigger warning for some harassment scenes, which would be better for the people who're the victims of this behavior to brace yourself before watching. (all images cr. IMDb)
