I'd like to learn more about #ramadan .

Particular areas I'd like to learn about is stuff around acts of loving kindness, not speaking ill of others, little known Ramadan customs, iftars and readings from #ramadan such as Suras which you find meaningful. /1
I have avoided the trend which is fasting for #ramadan from non-Muslims as this well meaning trend ignores that it is much more than just fasting.

I'm interested also to see how it compares to practices, thinking around Jewish fast days like Tish B'av and Yom Kippur. /2
I would like to know more about it as I have many Muslims friends and I also love working in interfaith.

I think its important for humanity to learn more about each other's faith and belief systems as it increases kindness. /3
So I hope this does not come across as patronising.

Would my Muslim friends be happy via this thread to consider informing me on one thing about #ramadan which makes it special to them or a little known fact/ reading relating or just something you'd like to share? /4
@n_Horizons maybe I could learn more about #ramadan from suggested sources of yours and from the great people I met at #BritishIslam2020.
You can follow @thehoff102.
