Alright, how many things can I do around the house before I try connecting my HDD to my newly installed Windows?

But. It’s still very slow accessing that picture folder. Wonder if I can run scandisk now or if I’ve already borked it by trying.

No virus scanning. Again. Very slowly. Not sure what to do with my time now!

The time count is going UP not down. I’m hoping that’s cuz it’s underestimated my 70,000 pictures and not cuz it’s having access issues on the drive

Thing is, why is the stuff borked that I access the most? OTOH of course that’s what would be borked.
OT third H, hardware issue makes no sense with the weird behaviour I saw AFTER disconnecting the drive!
Sigh. Sorry for stream of consciousness.
