Defining people by who loves them can further isolate those who are alone. Everyone counts. Everyone should be counted. Even if no one loves you, you matter. The narrative is formed by those who can’t imagine not being loved by anyone. But it is a reality. https://link.medium.com/TJNtEu3c15
It’s uncomfortable to think about but constantly part of the narrative. Yesterday two politicians Conservative and Labour talked about the loss and each death as ‘loved ones’. Imagine watching that alone. Thinking of past love and loves. And wondering if you will be making missed
You will be. Because love is not only about people. It’s about pets, places, memories, creativity and ideas. But only accounting for ‘loved ones’ as a loss, may miss this. Language may not seem important but it sends messages which can isolate further. Everyone matters
